Casual Friday

Friday — Faux Fur

Its casual Friday, so wearing a more rugged outfit is totally acceptable. Plus, add the faux fur coat, and it looks like you’re still trying. Friday is about comfort so wearing ‘lived in’ jeans and flat boots will give you that. (‘Lived in’ means.. basically, your most comfortable jeans that look like they’ve been through a lot of wear and tear)

Thirsty Thursday (I’m not a drinker.. who am I kidding?)

Thursday — Thigh Highs

Layering of footwear is ever popular among the fashion bloggers and lookbookers. Let’s have a little lesson on the matter.

1. If you’re doing black on black, make sure your black socks/thigh highs/legwarmers are NOT faded! Blacks of entirely different shades is unacceptable and happens to be one of my biggest pet peeves. Two different fabrics are fine, as long as they don’t appear to have been thrown in the dryer several times.
2. You CAN wear socks or tights with opened-toed shoes.
3. If your socks/thigh highs/legwarmers are a lighter color than your tights (if you’re wearing tights), make sure they are not too sheer! We don’t want to see your maroon tights under your dusty rose thigh highs. There should be clear color-blocking.

• There is an exception to this rule. If your thigh highs are crochet or some other pattern where holes are necessary, seeing the tights underneath is okay.

Ok, I know wedges are in every outfit post of mine. For this one, I will find wedges worthy of making the outfit what it is. I’m wearing wedges today, and I am just such a huge fan of them. I promise to amaze you with the these ones.

These wedges are sick! I know the dress is actually pretty amazing too, and I probably should have chosen something more understated.. but I wanted the shoes and the dress to be the same color.
